Outstanding TV presence for the 2009 Formula 3 Euro Series

In its seventh season, the planet’s most competitive young-gun series comes up with the best TV presence in its history to date.

With German TV station ARD and news channel n-tv that both are going to extensively cover the Formula 3 Euro Series for the first time, this year, the series has gained two new partners that complement one another, with their programmes. Furthermore, DSF also brings Formula 3 Euro Series résumés on the Saturday and Sunday evenings of the respective weekends.

ARD, ‘Das Erste’ (The First), will bring a résumé of the first race from 14:30 to 15:00hrs, right after the coverage of the DTM qualifying session. In addition, the 30-minute programme comprises Formula 3 Euro Series background information. And the résumé of the second round of the weekend will be brought on the respective Sunday from 15:15 to 15:20hrs, within the scope of the DTM coverage.

On Saturday from 18:20 to 18:30hrs, n-tv will bring a résumé of race one in its programme ‘Formel 3 kompakt’ and on Sunday from 10:30 to 11:10hrs, the news channel will cover the second race live. While the magazine ‘n-tv Speed’, broadcasted on Tuesday from 16:00 to 16:30hrs, will bring features about DTM, the Formula 3 Euro series and all the other DTM partner series.

Meanwhile, sports channel SSN TV will bring the Euro Series rounds on Saturday and Sunday re-live – and the same applies to the ADAC VW Polo Cup, Porsche Carrera Cup Germany and Seat Leon Supercopa races. Since 1st May, SSN TV can be received via satellite as well as in the digital nets of the cable providers Unity Media, Tele Columbus, Kabel BW and Net Cologne. Furthermore, the race coverage also will be available in the World Wide Web at www.ssn.tv, after the first showing.

As it is appropriate for an internationally established motor-racing series, the Formula 3 Euro Series also features global TV coverage. 11 TV stations in 15 countries bring the races of the young-gun series live or re-live while race résumés are broadcasted in 20 countries. And to increase its international presence, the series currently is in negotiations with quite a number of additional TV stations.
